FSR is an economical low-temperature PTC self-regulating heating cable. The semiconductive polymer heating matrix is extruded between parallel tinned copper bus wires. It achieves automatic power adjustment along the cable by virtue of positive temperature coefficient characteristics. Its resistance falls and power output rises in cold conditions, while resistance increases and power drops as temperature goes up. Featuring inherent overheat protection, it avoids burnout risks even when laid overlappingly, ensuring energy efficiency and flexible installation.
Application
It is designed for light-load freeze protection and low-temperature maintenance. It serves thermal insulation for regular pipelines, small storage tanks, valve sets and flanges, as well as deicing and snow melting on roofs, gutters and drainpipes. The standard model fits non-hazardous areas, and the FSR-PF version with fluoropolymer outer jacket is applicable to mildly corrosive and explosive hazardous areas. It can be installed at temperatures as low as -60°C.
