Product Overview

Heat-traced sampling composite tube, also known as CEMS heat tracing line, sampling tracing tube or integrated heat-traced sampling tubing bundle, belongs to the category of integrated heat tracing tubing bundles. It is the core sampling and transmission component for online monitoring of flue gas and waste gas as well as process gas analysis systems. It can be used with pressure transmitters, process analyzers and Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS). It is widely applied in power plants, petrochemical, natural gas, refined oil and crude oil industries for pipeline freeze protection, process temperature maintenance and thermal preservation under high-exposure-temperature conditions.

Integrated System & Structure

HRFHT corrosion-resistant heat-traced sampling composite tubing bundle is a factory pre-assembled integrated composite structure. The inner core consists of corrosion-resistant high-performance resin sampling tubes and heat tracing cables, wrapped by a thermal insulation layer, while the outermost layer is an extruded flame-retardant polyethylene (PE) protective jacket. The product stabilizes the temperature inside the sampling tubes, keeps the sampled gas consistent with its original state, and ensures continuous and accurate gas sampling for environmental monitoring systems.

The sampling tube material can be selected according to sample gas composition and temperature. Heating cables with different temperature resistance grades are available. Compensating wires, power cables and instrument signal cables can also be embedded on request. Multiple independent functional systems are integrated within a compact cross-section.

1. Sampling System

Multi-channel sampling tubes in various materials can be configured, including PFA (perfluoroalkoxy), FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene), PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride), flame-retardant PE, nylon 610, copper tube, 304SS and 316SS stainless steel.

Fluoroplastic tubes resist strong acids, strong alkalis and organic solvents, and do not adsorb gas components, making them suitable for highly corrosive flue gas conditions.

2. Thermal Heat-Tracing System

Insulation layer: glass fiber cotton flame-retardant insulation material with a density of 95g/m³, featuring high-efficiency thermal insulation, light weight and flame retardancy to reduce heat loss.

HRFHT series heat-traced sampling composite tubing bundles are divided into five models according to heating type and temperature resistance grade.

1. HRFHT Low Temperature Heat-Traced Tubing Bundle (DBR)

Technical Parameters

  • Outer dimension: 38mm-45mm
  • Minimum bending radius: 0.5m
  • Maximum continuous laying length: 100 m
  • Minimum fixing spacing: 5m vertical, 2m horizontal
  • Maintained temperature range: 5°C-65°C

Heating Cable Introduction

The DBR self-regulating heating cable automatically adjusts and limits its output power. Its self-regulating property prevents cable burnout caused by overheating and avoids overheating of pipes and auxiliary equipment. It can be cut to any required length on site.

Composite bundles equipped with the DBR self-regulating heating cable are used for freeze protection and low-temperature medium temperature maintenance on metallic and non-metallic pipelines. The fluoropolymer outer sheath provides excellent corrosion and chemical resistance, making it suitable for various harsh working conditions.

3. Electrical System

Instrument signal cables, compensating cables, control cables and power wires can be embedded on request to support instrument display, signal transmission, temperature compensation and system monitoring, and to reduce additional field wiring.

Working Principle

The built-in heating cable provides continuous heat to keep the temperature inside the sampling tube above the dew point of the sample gas. For CEMS flue gas sampling, the temperature is normally maintained at around 120°C. For special flue gas monitoring conditions, it can be set up to 180°C. The HRFHT-HPC extreme high temperature model supports a maximum tube maintaining temperature of 200°C, meeting the requirements of high-temperature process gas sampling.

The system prevents water vapor condensation in flue gas, avoids gas component loss, pipeline crystal blockage and corrosion leakage caused by the dissolution of acid gases. It ensures that the sample gas remains in the same state from the sampling point to the analyzer, and guarantees accurate and compliant online monitoring data.
