RSR is a general-purpose low-temperature self-regulating heating cable engineered for reliable, cost-effective heat tracing across a wide range of standard industrial and commercial applications. Its construction features a cross-linked semiconductive polymer core extruded between two parallel tinned-copper bus wires, delivering consistent PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) performance along the entire cable length.

Like premium global brands, RSR automatically modulates heat output in direct response to surface temperature—increasing power when cold, reducing power when warm—eliminating the risk of overheating even under overlapping installation. No thermostat is mandatory for basic freeze protection, though controls may be used for precision maintenance. The cable can be cut to exact lengths on-site, minimizing waste and simplifying design.

Built for durability, RSR resists moisture, aging, and most inorganic chemicals, with multiple jacket options to match ambient and corrosive conditions.

Application

RSR is designed for low-temperature freeze protection and process maintenance in non-hazardous and select hazardous locations (with appropriate jacket):

  • Pipework, tanks, valves, and flanges (standard diameter)
  • Roof and gutter deicing, ramp and walkway snow melting
  • General plant utilities, firewater lines, and drainage systems
  • HVAC and building services trace heating
  • Mildly corrosive environments (fluoropolymer jacket version)
