Tarim Oilfield, Electric Heat Tracing System for Pipes & Equipment

Project Overview

Located in the Taklamakan Desert of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in western China, Tarim Oilfield boasts abundant oil and gas reserves. It ranks as China's third largest onshore oil and gas field and serves as the major gas source for the West-to-East Gas Transmission Project, supplying domestic gas for southern Xinjiang and 15 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities along the transmission routes. Given its growing importance in China's energy structure, it is regarded by economists as the energy and economic artery of western China.

Electric Trace Heating Scope

Freeze protection and thermal insulation for pipelines, storage tanks and equipment involved in new construction, technical renovation, maintenance and repair works across all subsidiaries, secondary units, design institutes and other affiliated organizations of Tarim Oilfield.

Heat Tracing Solution

Electric trace heating is implemented for pipelines in oil production and refining processes, including process pipelines, crude oil pipelines, water pipelines and other heat-tracing required equipment. Suitable electric trace heating products are selected and applied in strict accordance with process temperature requirements.
