Project Overview

The CEPB Drilling & Production Platform of Jinzhou 23-2 Oilfield is China’s first central platform for offshore multi-layer heavy oil thermal recovery. This oilfield features a multi-sandbody heavy oil reservoir with a typical "layer-cake" structure. Heavy oil adheres firmly to formation pores like solid glue, bringing great challenges to extraction. Thermal recovery technology reduces oil viscosity by injecting high-temperature steam to facilitate production. The average water depth of the sea area is around 10 meters.
